QUEERDOS VIOLENCE: Spoken Word Open Mic
This Saturday, Queerdos: Violence opens its doors one last time to hear what YOU have to say about your experiences of violence against or within the queer community.
you can let it all hang out
☄️ eat your heart out
☄️ share your fears, your resentments, your questions, your stories
☄️ slap us with your words!!
What are the violent experiences that structure our lives as queer people? How do our past experiences affect our present? How does one deal with structural violence? What is our individual reaction to violent experiences?
We all have violence within us, whether pushed upon us with force, or soaked deep into our skin from childhood. Violence is an epidemic with no limits & no borders. It is cultural. It is learned. It manifests itself. It moves, unstoppable, from battlefields to bedrooms
